About

Tony and Golden Gate bridge

Born in a small town in eastern North Carolina called Ahoskie to Mary and Charlie Sessoms.  I have two brothers and two sisters.  They are all excellent people and they all have children.  I am the one with no children but take great interests in theirs.  I grew up on my currently 92 year old grand mothers’ farm.  I left home in 1989 to attend Electronic school in Raleigh NC.  After graduation I took a job with Northern Telecom.  I left there after 10 months and took a job at Sumitomo Electric in the Research Triangle Park.  I left Sumitomo and went back to school to earn a degree in Early Childhood Education.  I went on to The University of North Carolina Greensboro to earn another degree in Public Health Education as a precursor to working in the area of HIV education, prevention and treatment.  I wanted to continue my education so I applied at  the University of San Francisco to continue my education, there I earned my masters in Public Administration/Health Service Administration.  My education has been a very important part of my life and I am grateful that I was able to study throughout the USA and Europe.  I studied in Estonia at the University of Tartu in 2001 with a study abroad program sponsored by The University of North Carolina Greensboro.

Current Activities

I have been in S. Korea for almost one year and have made plans to spend another year working with my current school.  The school that I work for has proved to be very excellent and the staff and the students treat me with such respect and excellence that it was an easy decision to stay with them longer.   With the schools permission I will place some photos that include some of the students and staff from time to time.  Thank you for viewing my blog and keep a look out for future postings.
